Itinerary of Upper Dolpo Trekking
Mid. western part of Nepal, specially Dolpo region, was opened in 1989 and contains the Shey Phoksundo National Park, established in 1984 to preserve a large portion of the land in this area. It is quite impressive, with many passes as high as 5000 meters. Tibetan speaking people, who follow Bon, the ancient animistic faith of Tibet and Buddhism. They grow buckwheat and barley and tend to large herds of goats, sheep, yak etc. The shining Ringmo Lake, with its unearthly turquoise blue water, makes a trip to this region an unforgettable experience.

Starting from: Jumla after flight from Nepalgunj
Ending at: Juphal and fly down to Nepalgunj
Grade: Moderate to Strenuous and alpine
Highest access of the trek: Kagmara La (5115 m)

Itinerary of Upper Dolpo Trekking
Day 01: Arrival in kathmandu 1334m, Alpine Adventurer Team’s representative will transfer to hotel
Day 02: Lower Dolpo trekking briefing with officially arrangements
Day 03: Drive to Nepalgunj or flight
Day 04: Early morning, fly to Jumla and trek to Ghotichour (2700m).
Day 05: Ghotichaur to Chutra (2856)
Day 06: Chutra to Chaurikot (3000 m.)
Day 07: Chaurighot to Kaigaun (3245m)
Day 08: Kaigaun to Garpung Khola (3285m
Day 09: Garpung Khola to Kagmara phedi (4645m)
Day 10: Kagmara phedi - Cross Kagmara pass (5115 m) to Pungmi Kharka
Day 11: Pungmi Kharka to Phoksumdo Lake (3600m)
Day 12: Rest at Phoksumdo Lake & excursion
Day 13: Phoksumdo Lake via Baga –la cross to Baga-La Phedi (5070m) forest camp
Day 14: Baga-La forest camp to Numla Phedi (4535m)
Day 15: Numla Phedi -Cross Numla (5190m) and trek to Tarap (4040m)
Day 16: Tarap to Dho (4020m)
Day 17: Dho to Big cave (3600m)
Day 18: Big cave to Lahini (3200m)
Day 19: Lahini to Tarakot (2800m)
Day 20: Tarakot to Dunai (2150m)
Day 21: Dunai to Juphal (2500m)
Day 22: Fly Juphal - Nepalgunj to Katmandu & transfer to hotel
Day 23: After breakfast, Relaxing or shopping with own activities than in the evening farewell dinner in Nepalese Restaurant, overnight at kathmandu in Hotel
Day 24: After breakfast, Relaxing/shopping with own activities, Alpine Adventure Team (P) Lid’s representative will drop to Kathmandu international airport for onward destination
