
Mt. Cho Oyu is the 6th highest peak in the world and, even though it is regarded as a technically straight forward 8000m peak, its altitude is a serious undertaking and requires careful preparation and a high level of fitness. It is said that Cho Oyu means ‘Goddess of Turquoise’, as its stark shadows appear this colour in the light of the setting sun when viewed from Tibet. This mountain is a vast bulk of sweeping snow slopes and clean glaciated lines; a most noble and impressive first 8000m peak. The approach to the mountain from both Nepal and Tibet is easy, and the ascent through Tibet is not particularly difficult. Of all Nepal’s 8000m. Peaks, Cho Oyu is the second only to Everest in both the number of Expeditions successful ascents for more than 1700 climbers climbed till to spring 2015.It is just west from Cho Oyo is Nangpa-La, the main trade route between the Nepal Namche Bazaar (Khumbu Region) and Tibet. However, Cho Oyu's proximity to the Nangpa La has earned it the distinction among some climbers as being the easiest 8,000m. a beautiful mountain which attract for the every trekkers and climbers. The First time Cho Oyu scaled by Mr. Maciej Berbeka from Poland on February 12, 1984 via south east ridge. Early in the morning we transfer to the domestic airport where you will fly to Lukla, meet our rest of support crews and start trek to Phakding to the Cho Oyu Base Camp and end of this trip will be at Lukla then fly out by plane to Kathmandu. Alpine Adventure Team provide for expedition with all necessary infrastructures to assist you in your summit attempt. We will do the necessary paperwork for expedition permit organize all accommodation before and after expedition. We organize camp facilities, transport loads, stock and set up high camps, fix ropes, provide food, high altitude food, high quality tents, porters, professional Climbing Sherpas, oxygen, satellite telephone, Wake Talkie set, advice and assistance.
