Astride Nepal's eastern border with Sikkim, the remote mountains and valleys leading to Kangchenjunga see few trekkers, yet offer some of the most varied and spectacular scenery in the country. The routes to the north and south base camps of the world's third highest mountain are long, but not unduly arduous for most fit walkers. This 3 night add-on, exploring the Kathmandu Valley, is very popular and a great way to relax before or after your trek, immersing yourself in the deeply spiritual cultural side of Nepal. You'll visit the famous Buddhist shrines of Boudnath and Swayambunath.
This is a strenuous trek, most of which takes place in a remote and wild part of Nepal but is within the capabilities of most fit walkers. Previous trekking experience is as asset.
