Mt Ombaigaichen is in the Mahalangur Solukhumbu region of Nepal. This peak was first issued a climbing permit in 2002 and is rarely climbed. The recognised route is Lukla-Namche Bazaar, Ama Dablam Base Camp, Ombigaichen Base Camp
Outline Itinerary :
Itinerary of Mt Ombigaichen Peak
Day 01 Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel
Day 02 Rest day at Kathmandu for sightseeing
Day 03 Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla 2,800m and trek to Phakding 2,640m
Day 04 Trek Phakding to Namche Bazaar 3,446m
Day 05 Trek Namche Bazaar to Khumjung 3,790m
Day 06 Rest day at Khumjung, for acclimatization
Day 07 Trek Khumjung to Tengboche Monastery, 3,860m
Day 08 Trek Tengboche Monastery to Mt. Ama Dablam Base Camp
Day 09 Trek Amadablam Base Camp to Ombigaichan Base Camp 5,200m
Day 10 Trek Ombigaichan Base Camp to High Camp
Day 11 Early morning Climb Ombigaichan Peak 6,340m
