Outline Itinerary :
Day 1:	Arrive Delhi. Transfer to hotel.
Day 2:	Fly to Leh and afternoon sightseeing in this fascinating city. 3 nights in a hotel.
Day 3:	Today is devoted to visiting the cultural highlights of Ladakh - the architectural gems of Shey palace and gompa, Thiksey gompa perched on a hill overlooking the river Indus and Hemis gompa, the wealthiest in the land.
Days 4:	Free to explore Leh on your own.
Day 5:	Drive the Leh-Srinagar highway to Lamayuru, a spectacular medieval village steeped in legend. Camp below the village.
Day 6-12:	Trekking. The route takes us through the heart of Ladakh, over the passes of Prinkiti la (3726m), Konke La (4996m) and Skatspi La (5180m), which offer stunning views of the surrounding valleys and ranges. We trek through rugged gorges and fertile pastures grazed by local yak herders and wild animals including blue sheep and ibex. Descending to the valleys we visit remote villages if mud houses, built into hillsides terraced with apricot orchards. We have a rest day at Soomdah Choon, whose ancient monastery houses unusual carvings.
Day 13:	Trek ends at Alchi gompa, a magnificent and ancient complex of temples, with beautiful murals.
Day 14:	Drive to Leh. Overnight in hotel.
Day 15:	Fly Leh to Delhi. Transfer to hotel
Day 16:	Departure
